Making sure your makeup and appearance is perfect can make the process of preparing for a zoom call interview. Your makeup should look fresh, confident, and presentable without being overdone. Face-to-face interviews are intimidating; online interviews have their own problems. Among other things, you need to worry about internet stability, audio problems, and camera quality.
Do not worry if you are relatively new to makeup and do not know where to begin! You’re covered with us. A few simple tips are recommended for anyone preparing for an interview, and they are as follows:
1. Start With The Base
We cannot emphasize enough the importance of laying the right foundation. Considering the fact that your makeup won’t last longer than an hour, skipping primer shouldn’t be a problem. Use a smooth matte foundation instead, and avoid anything that has glitter or shine. With a special foundation blender, buff and blend the formula into your skin.
2. Conceal Those Under Eyes
A vibrant, wide-awake appearance is a sure sign that I am ready for hire. No matter what your schedule is or how early you get up, a little under-eye concealer won’t hurt. Start by choosing a concealer shade that is one or two shades lighter than your actual complexion, then use a makeup sponge to apply the full-coverage formula to your face.
3. Blush Will Give You A Rosy Appearance
The blush is a good place to look if you want to appear bright and alive. Your complexion will look more radiant when you add a rosy blush. Brush some blush lightly across your cheeks in the three formations across your temple, cheekbone, and jawline. This will give your cheeks a natural-looking flush.
4. Groom Your Eyebrows
Your eyebrows don’t need to be colored in or shaped, nor do you need to book your appointment with your parlor lady right away. The only thing you need to do is buy a pair of tweezers from the chemist and tweeze and shape your eyebrows yourself. In the end, your eyebrows frame your face, and you should keep them groomed. Well-groomed eyebrows flatter your eyes and give your face a more angular look.
5. Define Your Eyebrow Crease
When it comes to choosing the right eyeshadow for your video call makeup look, there is no need to overdo it. Make your eyebrows appear more defined by lightly applying a medium brown eyeshadow to the crease. When applying eyeshadow, use a fluffy blending brush.
6. Brighten Your Eyes
In the same way that brightening your eyes and making them look wide awake is always a boost for your interviews and video calls, we should also try to brighten them. A simple way to do this is to apply white or nude-colored eyeliner to your waterline.
7. Layer On Your Mascara
Adding mascara to your makeup is another excellent way to add a touch of elegance to a look. Apply at least a few coats of thick and volumizing mascara if you want to draw attention to your well-rested and vibrant eyes. Moreover, your eyes will be given a dramatic flair.
8. Pick A More Neutral Lip Color
You should probably play it safe when it comes to choosing a lipstick color for your video call. Avoid fuchsia pink or siren red shades. You would be better off wearing a matte, long-lasting, stain-resistant lipstick in a shade of light pink, ivory, or a slight red. You should do this especially if you are going to sip on coffee while on the video call.
9. Tie Your Hair Up To Highlight Your Features
Tie up your hair to look presentable and keep it out of your face. Your expressions will be more clear when this is done. Making your face pop will help you stand out. Having a half-up, half-down hairstyle or even a bun is always a good idea. Keep your ponytail neat and slicked back if you’re wearing it in a ponytail. If you do it this way, it would look way better than if you left it loose or shabby.
Although you may be nervous about how you will present yourself during your Zoom call or Skype video call, all you need to do is relax and be confident about yourself. Let us know how it goes in the comments if you try these glam tricks for your next video call!
